Mickey Project - 1 year internet fee for a 51 year old nursing home resident with MS - providing access to the world and a showcase to lobby for research and education. $120.00

Tending Your Garden Workbook Project - A powerful healing "Hands On" workbook for women exiting abusive relationships - printed and distributed 1500 to every spouse abuse center in Kentucky. This project was completely funded in July 2004 $7000, 2003 $7500 - Total Funding $14,500

Bluegrass Energy Expo - Bringing together business, education, government, and non-profit sectors to educate Kentuckians about proven energy solutions and connect consumers with marketers of energy-saving products and services. Children’s Activity Kits - Solar Energy Kits, Energy Efficiency Kits - $2000

Lexington Fayette Urban County Government Human Rights Commission: Diversity Education $200

KT Brown Gift for Writing Awards: given to writers of great vision and purpose.

Shauna Horn - young & promising author and director - $200

Susmita Barua - author, book project to heighten global human awareness, human potential, individual creativity and responsibility. $500

Riding for Success - Equine Experiential Education - Therapeutic Riding Program that uses the teaching of Natural Horsemanship as a vehicle to help students develop skills to overcome specific challenges of such disorders as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and oppositional defiance disorder. This skill-based program also provides opportunities for developing a sense of achievement and confidence, vital for children who have often experienced repeated failure. $200 to be applied to a scholarship for a student whose parents would otherwise be unable to afford this opportunity. $200

The Rural Center, Inc. Edmonton, Kentucky - dedicated to fostering the health & vitality of soil, plants, people and the planet through education, outreach & community service. Funds provided for informational materials and distribution to parents and teachers - designed to educate about the connection between natural methods of farming and gardening as well as:

  1. Nutritional Quality of Food
  2. Environmental Sustainability
  3. Economic benefits of buying locally and sustainably produced foods
  4. Importance of working together with students & children outdoors
  5. Revival of public interest in rural culture

Appalachian Cultural Exchange - Laptop computer for Children’s Radio Program in Eastern Kentucky - Kentucky Trade Computers partnered with Howe Charities Matching Funds - $975

Bullington Project - book project to nurture a transformation of consciousness from a base of fear, limitation, exclusion & low self esteem to one of respect, abundance, inclusion & equality. $2500

Integrated Wellness for Children - project to bring integrated healing through Sound Wave Energy to children with autism, sensory integration dysfunction, muscular dystrophy or any other major disease. $86.20

The Kentucky Center for the Arts - Arts Showcases - 7 Showcase sites allow over 125 vetted artists and arts organizations to reach out to 600-1000 educators and parents through live demonstrations and a printed resource directory to select for school performances - $1000
